From the very start, Duncan was approachable, knowledgeable and efficient. He answered all of our questions, helped us through the whole process and was more than happy to fit in around our busy schedule of work and children.

In retrospect, moving out of the house whilst the work was carried out would have been the sensible option; however the lads on-site made sure that we weren't too inconvenienced and even looked after our dogs during the day!

The Project Manager on the job worked with us at all stages and made sure that everything was of a high quality, met our expectations and was finished on schedule. The end result is fantastic and we would not hesitate in recommending Duncan to anyone.

When I first came up with the concept of the Jaiho restaurant, I always knew I wanted a contemporary look and feel to the place, but was unsure if anyone would be able to help me create the look I was after. Then I was introduced to Duncan from John Duncan, who, from beginning to end, was able to give a clear structure and design message for the restaurant, and to ensure the finished design would be the look I was hoping to achieve.

Duncan was able to provide detailed planned drawings and visual aids to allow me to see what the end result was going to look like. Although I changed the the final design a couple of times along the way, Duncan proved to be patient with me and ultimately produced the result I wanted.

I would like to thank John Duncan for turning my dreams into a reality and creating an environment for both myself and my customers to enjoy.

I've recently had a loft conversion completed by John Duncan. From meeting Duncan for an estimate along with 5 other companies I was most pleased with John Duncans professionalism and expertise. We decided to go ahead with the work which was estimated to take 10 weeks from start to completion. I was delighted with the way it was done from the outside scaffolding through the roof until week 9 when the internal work was started i.e. the staircase. I couldn't believe the very little mess which was my main worry as I thought the rest of the house would be upside down. I can now report the tradesman were of a very high standard and always tidying as they went which meant I had very little disruption within the rest of the house. The work went very smoothly, it was completed by 10 weeks to a very high standard and also within budget.

After paying the final payment there was some small snagging to be done and I would just like to say the tradesmen came back and completed those jobs as promised.

I would have no hesitation on recommending John Duncan as they were very efficient, polite and professional.

Right from the start, after agreeing a ball park figure, we were very much put at ease and impressed at the manner in which Duncan talked through the detail of the job we wanted doing. We were similarly put at ease when the team of lads arrived and started work, particularly by the manner in which they organised the job and materials.

The lads worked long, hard hours paying attention to details and always consulted when there was a decision to be made affecting the look of the job. We were given consistently clear information when it was available, and further information was always supplied when it was needed. Throughout the job the lads always respected the rest of our house.

They used the facilities but did not dirty the house, and when internal jobs were carried out they always cleaned up after themselves. Security was never an issue; the house was safe throughout the job. As the job proceeded, the dedication to detail and quality showed as the new roof and extension took shape. This was noticed by many of the neighbours who enjoyed watching the job progress.

It was a great feeling having the confidence of knowing an impressive job was being made of turning our house into more of a home; a solid job that still gives us great pleasure as it has turned our ideas into a reality.

Work has just been completed on our loft conversion by John Duncan. We are very pleased with the result and the overall experience. Obviously due to the nature of the work, there was a slight knock on effect with the rest of the house. This was kept to a minimum and any mess was cleaned up there and then. Any issues that came about were resolved very quickly by the helpful and approachable project management team.

The team have also kept in touch once the work had finished - an after sales service which is very rare these days. We would have no hesitation in recommending the company to our friends and family.
